I’ve always been keen to try lash clusters as they seem to just provide more flexibility in where you want to place the lashes plus it was pre-glued too so I was super excited to get this as part of the Discovery Bag. However I was sorely disappointed. These lashes just didn’t work for me. The curl is very sharp and looks almost crimped which I hate because it looks unnatural once they’re on. Positives are that they were very easy to apply and the glue held well, but I just can’t get past the lashes themselves. Up close they don’t blend in with my natural lashes at all because I prefer a more natural curve when I curl them plus it’s impossible to crimp my lashes to look like these. I do like the idea of pre glued lashes but unfortunately the Lizzie style is a bummer for me.

My skin has been very dry recently because of all the hot showers and heating I’ve been using this winter, so I’ve really been looking for an intensive hydration serum. Using this serum has been a much needed boost to my skin and with regular use I have noticed my skin feeling hydrated and smoother. I use it at night time so I can’t attest to how it sits under makeup. I personally like a lighter serum for daytime so I don’t think I’ll ever find out! I do recommend for a nighttime routine as you wake up with your skin still hydrated.

I’ve been using this hair turban after receiving it as part of the Discovery Bag and I don’t think I can go back! I pop my hair oils onto the ends of my hair immediately out of my shower and then put on the hair turban, twist and secure it with the button so it stays in place while I do my skincare routine. Once done, I’ll start blow drying my hair and I definitely notice a difference in the blow drying time and the texture/shine of my hair. Of course before I used to just let my hair hang wet while I did my skincare routine so maybe those who used to wrap with a towel might not notice such a huge effect, but it was amazing for me.

First thing first, I love anything that would introduce colour into my life! It’s hard for a brush to stand out from the crowd because as long as you avoid the cheap plastic ones you find at the dollar store, all other brushes are basically the same to me. It’s gentle on the scalp and doesn’t tug at my hair but so do all my other brushes. You know what won me over? The rainbow bristles are so cute and looking at it in my bathroom just makes me happy. So for that alone I give it 5 stars! If you don’t currently own a large brush, I say this is the perfect brush to get.

I love trying out brands I’ve never heard of before, and I was especially keen on trying this one because a quick google search told me they’re a favourite in France! I’ve been very unkind on my hair with a combination of box bleach and box dye and am now dealing with the consequences of having stick dry ends. While I think the only cure is a haircut, this hair mask is the perfect Band-Aid until I work up the courage to do so! The texture of this mask is creamy and not too heavy and it leaves my hair noticeably shinier and easier to detangle.

I tried this lipstick as part of the Discovery Bag and I absolutely fell in love! It’s a gorgeous colour and easy to work with to build colour. I’ve owned some red lipsticks that are unforgiving with mistakes because the uneven lines are just so visible, but this one goes on smooth like a balm. The only downside I can think of is that it doesn’t last long after you eat and drink but I don’t really expect shiny lipsticks to be long lasting. Perfect lipstick that I’ve been reaching for a lot these days!

I’ve been trialing this serum for a bit over a fortnight by now. My impressions so far is that this serum is hydrating and doesn’t irritate my skin. I do feel like it’s achieved its brief of soothing sensitive irritable skin. However, it is expensive for what you get (30g of product). There are plenty of other serums containing Niacinamide on the market and Azclear does not differentiate itself enough from its more affordable competitors in my opinion. I have bought other serums that achieve the same results.

I received this lip tint in the shade Latte to Go as part of Best in Beauty. To be honest, when I first gave it a try, the formula felt really thick and dry on my lips, and I almost gave up on it. But I’ve started really prepping my lips beforehand and applying lip balm underneath and that’s made a huge difference. It glides on much more smoothly now and feels way more comfortable. I think this tint isn't very forgiving so you really need to prep your lips. The finish is a soft matte that looks really natural. It also stays put for hours, even after having an Thai curry and wiping my lips like crazy with a napkin. It’s definitely grown on me!

I recently tried the Matilda lashes from GLAM by Manicare as part of Best in Beauty and I think I've found my new favourite lashes. They have this soft, fluffy appearance that blends pretty seamlessly with my natural lashes. Throughout the day, they remained comfortable, and I almost forgot I was wearing them. I did struggle to put them on at first but that's no fault of the lashes and all to do with my inexperience haha. Perfect for everyday wear when you just want an extra sparkle to your eyes. I'm someone who's not used to wearing lashes but I think I can get used to how I look with these!

I’ve been using this night cream for a few weeks now as part of Best in Beauty and I’m really impressed! It feels thick when you scoop it out, but it melts into the skin so nicely. I love that it doesn’t leave a greasy film but just a nice, comfortable feeling. I’ve even noticed my skin looking a bit smoother when I wake up, which is a lovely bonus! There’s a light scent that fades quickly, and it hasn’t caused any irritation which is always a win for me. Definitely one I’ll keep using through winter and repurchase next winter.
